Got questions? Good.

Here are the ones we get asked most..

  • If something is affecting your mood, your relationships, your sleep, or just your ability to get through the day … that's enough of a reason. You don't need to be in crisis to reach out. If you've been thinking about it, that's usually a sign it's worth exploring.

  • In Australia, the title "psychologist" is protected by law. It means someone who has completed extensive university training and is registered with AHPRA. "Therapist" is an unprotected term that anyone can use. Psychologists are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health conditions using evidence-based approaches.

  • Medicare rebates are available if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. This reduces the out of pocket cost per session. I don't currently offer bulk billing, but I encourage you to get in touch if cost is a concern and we can chat about your options.

  • It's simpler than you think. Once you book, you'll receive a link to join a secure video call. You can join from your phone, tablet, or laptop — from your couch, your car, your bedroom, wherever feels comfortable. All you need is a decent internet connection and a private space. No commute, no waiting room, just therapy.

  • I work with anxiety, depression, ADHD, perinatal mental health, early motherhood, burnout, stress, overwhelm, trauma, and relationships. But more than that, I work with people. Real ones with messy lives, big feelings, and busy brains. If you're not sure whether what you're going through fits a neat category, reach out anyway. It probably doesn't need a label for us to work on it together.

  • It depends on what you're working through and what you want to get out of it. Some people come for 6 to 8 sessions and feel a real shift. Others prefer ongoing support over a longer period. There's no set timeline and no pressure. We'll work at a pace that feels right for you.

  • The first session is really just a conversation. No pressure, no deep diving straight into the hard stuff. You tell me what's been going on, what's brought you here, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. I'll ask a few questions and together we'll figure out if we're a good fit and what working together could look like.

  • You don't need a referral to book with me. You can reach out directly and get started straight away. That said, a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP does give you access to Medicare rebates, which reduces your out of pocket costs. It's worth getting one if you haven't already. Your GP can organise it in a standard appointment.

  • Yes. Research consistently shows that telehealth therapy is just as effective as in person sessions for most people. A lot of clients actually prefer it. There's something about being in your own space that makes it easier to open up. And without the commute or the waiting room, there's one less barrier between you and actually showing up.

  • It's a lot less scary than you think. You don't need to have it all figured out before you come. You don't need to know what to say. You just show up and we take it from there. The first session is low pressure and there's no obligation to continue if it doesn't feel right. Most people leave feeling a little lighter than when they started, even after just one conversation.

  • Absolutely. This is one of the things I'm most passionate about. Whether you're navigating the identity shift of early motherhood, struggling with postnatal anxiety or depression, or just feeling lost in a season of big change, you're in the right place. It doesn't matter if you can only join from the car while the baby sleeps. We'll make it work.

  • Yes. ADHD in women and girls is massively underdiagnosed because it often looks very different to the textbook version. If you've spent your life feeling scattered, overwhelmed, or like you're constantly falling behind no matter how hard you try, it's worth exploring. I can work with you on understanding how ADHD shows up for you and building strategies that actually fit your life.

  • Because therapy should feel like talking to someone who actually gets it. Not someone who nods from behind a clipboard and throws jargon at you. I'm a psychologist, yes, but I'm also a mum, a real person, and someone who believes that the best therapy happens when you feel genuinely comfortable. I'll meet you where you're at, bring the right tools for what you're going through, and make sure you leave every session feeling a little lighter than when you arrived. No masks, no scripts, just real support.
